On Thursday February 9, 2012 at 9:38 am Tour 4 responded to 118 Oxford St. First arriving units found a heavy smoke condition throughout a 1 story structure. Fire crews gained entry to the structure and extinguished a large volume of fire in the rear of the building. Units remained on the scene to extinguish hot spots due to the spreading fire. This fire remains under investigation at this time.

On Tuesday February 7, 2012 at 6:30 pm, Tour 2 responded to 344 Totowa Ave. Upon arrival first arriving found smoke coming from the basement and first floors of a 2 1/2 story structure. A quick knock down contained the blaze and the damage to the basement area.Fire crews remained on scene to check for hot spots and extension of the fire. In all 11 residents were displaced and this fire remains under investigation.

On Saturday January 29, 2012 at 2:14 am Tour 4 responded to 2 Jasper St. First arriving units found heavy fire on the 3rd floor of a 3 story abandoned townhouse unit extending to additional units on each side. A 2nd alarm was transmitted bringing additional units to the scene to help extinguish the quickly spreading fire. The fire was eventually contained and units remained on scene to extinguish hot spots. This fire remains under investigation at this time.

On Friday January 28, 2012 at 1:01 am Tour 3 responded to 250 River St. Upon arrival first arriving units found heavy smoke on the first and  fire on the second floor of a 2 story car wash with apartments over top. An interior attack resulted in a quick knock down of the quick spreading fire. This fire remains under investigation at this time.

On Friday January 20, 2012 at 4:23 am Tour 3 responded to 366 Main St. First arriving units found  heavy fire on the 3rd floor of a 3 story apartment building extending to the cockloft and to 368 Main St. A 2nd alarm was transmitted bringing addtional units to the scene to contain the fire. An aggressive attack knocked the fire but units remained on the scene to extinguish hot spots. This fire remains under investigation at this time.

On Sunday January 8, 2012 at 10:22 pm Tour 4 responded to 485 Park Ave. Upon arrival first arriving units found heavy fire on the 2nd floor and a smoke condition on the 3rd floor of a 2 1/2 story building. An interior attack was implemented and due to the volme of fire and smoke a 2nd alarm was transmitted bringing additional equipment and manpower. It took firefighters over an hour to extinguish this stubborn fire. The structure sustained fire and smoke damage throughout the 2nd and 3rd floors. This fire remains under investigation at this time.

On Thursday January 5, 2012 Tour 1 responded to 194 West Broadway. First arriving units found fire on the 3rd floor extending to the roof of a 3 story structure. An aggressive interior attack was implemented and the fire was quickly knocked down. Extensive overhaul was conducted to extinguish hot spots throughout the 3rd floor and roof areas. In all 7 residents were displaced and this fire remains under investigation at this time.

On Thursday December 29, 2011, Tour 2 responded to 127 Knickerbocker Ave. Upon arrival, first responding units found a heavy smoke condition on 2nd floor and attic areas of a 2 1/2 story structure. An interior attack was implemented and the fire was located on the 1st floor extending to the 2nd floor via the interior  walls. The units on scene were able to locate and extinguish the fire before it could cause major damage to the structure. In all 2 residents were displaced and this fire remains under investigation at this time.

On Tuesday December 27, 2011 at 12:03 pm, Tour 4 responded to the Town of North Haledon on mutual aid. Upon arrival Paterson’s Engine 4 and Ladder 2 entered a 1 story structure on High Mountain Rd. to search for a reported possible missing victim. Paterson companies assisted North Haledon with locating and extinguishing the 1 bedroom fire which had extended to the exterior roof area. There were no injuries reported and this fire remains under investigation at this time.

On Tuesday December 20, 2011 at 8:29 pm, Tour 1 responded to 20 N Straight St. Upon arrival, first arriving units found a 2 1/2 story building fully involved with fire. The fire was extending into 18 and 22 N Straight St. and a 2nd alarm was transmitted. Also units found a female victim, who apparently jumped from the burning structure, on the ground and was seriously injured. A 3rd alarm was transmitted due to 20 N Straight St. building collapsing, bringing all of Paterson’s equipment and manpower to the scene. In all 2 buildings were damaged and 1 was totally destroyed by this early evening fire. Firefighters remained on the scene until early morning dousing hot spots. The woman who was injured was taken to St. Joe’s hospital were she was in critical condition at this time. The fire remains under investigation at this time.
